There is something about walking and talking that seems to allow me to process my thoughts. I need to speak my thoughts out loud so I can hear myself and also get a reflection back of how it sounds from someone else’s perspective. I also love to walk. I’ve noticed that the more numerous my thoughts, the faster my feet go. I walk really fast so you can imagine how many thoughts I’ve got going on!
Something else that I have noticed for the past several years is how uplifted I feel when I am moving my feet, the sun is shining and I have a good friend beside me listening carefully. That is why we created Walks With A Coach.
I devoted more than 10 years of my life to studying ancient Vedic scriptures trying to understand how the mind works. In studying the mind, I moved myself to being an observer of my mind. That change of perspective seems to allow me to make more conscious choices. Talking out loud seems to do the same thing, especially when that particular someone is a trained and skilled coach.
