Does this sound familiar?

Do you find yourself always looking for the next best thing? You search and search and then suddenly, there it is – like gold at the end of the rainbow, shining in all it’s awesomeness. Until the next best thing comes along, that is….and then THAT is the answer to life, the Universe, your weight loss, and cats….and so on and so on and so on.

I myself, used to do this a lot. I have so many certificates that I can’t fit them all on my wall. LOL!! Each time I began a new endeavour it was like I didn’t know anything from before. Kind of like starting a new relationship with myself each time. Just like relationships that can lose their sparkle, many think that searching for the next best training, next best relationship, next best diet or exercise program (you fill in the blank) will be the answer to EVERYTHING! The one-size-fits-all-fix-everything-fix. You know what I am talking about.

And often, thousands and thousands of dollars later (speaking from experience), you realize that it’s kind of like an addiction.

Say whaaaat?

Yah, you read that right.

An addiction.

An addiction is anything that stops you from being present in your life and acts as a wonderful distraction from truly creating your life. By choosing to focus on not being enough, you are never present because you are always looking for where you want to go, not where you are.

Would you like to go back and read that last paragraph again?

Every time you put your self-worth in the hands of something outside of you, you are perpetuating the lie that 1) you are what you DO; 2) that you have to add anything to you in order to be valuable.

SO-

Here is an adventure experiment if you are willing to try it out….

 WHAT IF…..just for the rest of this month (that’s only 6 whole days)….
you stop searching?

 WHAT IF you could just stop and be present with ALL of you, knowing that you are AMAZING and AWESOME and you don’t NEED anything at all?

 WHAT IF the constant searching is an addiction that is actually a lie that you have believed most of your life? That you need to add something to you in order to be complete, whether it’s training, or a relationship or food or that job promotion or ANYTHING?????

Hahaaaa!!!! Right??? Aren’t we just totally adorable?
